Two Ways To Work With Us. One Of Them Only Costs You On Signature.

No menu of upsells, no retainer sitting in your inbox before a single name arrives. Just the deep, unglamorous work of reading commits and the calm of a shortlist you can finish over one coffee. Here is exactly what each engagement costs and exactly what lands on your desk.

01 · The Engagements

Priced Plainly. Written On The Line, Not Behind A Call.

Every figure below is the whole figure. The quiet after a candidate says yes is the only moment an invoice from us appears.

01
Completed Search · Flagship

Completed Search

End-to-end for a single backend or data role: we comb the public repos, trace a request edge-to-database with each candidate, and hand you five names with code we'll vouch for. You interview; we close. The invoice arrives the day the offer is countersigned — and every placement carries a 90-day guarantee.

  • Shortlist of five
  • Deep code review
  • System screen
  • Offer closing
  • 90-day guarantee

Pipeline Consulting · Retained bench

Pipeline Consulting

For teams that will hire again soon. We build and warm a standing roster of pre-screened Go, Python, Rust, and data-platform engineers — a short monthly report, real conversations kept alive, so your next search starts halfway done instead of from a blank board. Cancel with 30 days' notice.

  • Monthly market map
  • Pre-screened only
  • No long lock-in

Technical Screen · À la carte

Technical Screen

Already found someone and want a second set of eyes before you fly them out? We sit them down for the same system interview our shortlist faces, then send you a plain-spoken write-up of where they're sharp and where the seams show — in your inbox within two business days.

  • 60-minute system screen
  • Code read
  • Written notes
  • 48-hour turnaround

02 · Folded In, No Line Item

The Parts Other Firms Bolt On, We Already Did.

These aren't upsells. They come inside a Completed Search — the groundwork that makes a shortlist of five actually hold up in the interview room.

Included$0

The Commit Read

Before an introduction, we trace public commits, pull-request threads, and the postmortems nobody reads — so a name arrives with proof you can click into, not a buzzword résumé.

Included$0

Interview Notes

Each candidate lands with notes sharp enough to use that same afternoon — where they'll shine, where to press, the trade-offs they narrate out loud.

Included$0

Offer Closing

We stay on the line through the nervous bit — counteroffers, start dates, the quiet negotiation between yes and signed. Closing is the job, not an extra.

Included90 days

The Guarantee

If a placement leaves — or you let them go — inside ninety days, we rerun the search at no new fee. We find the next one.

03 · From Brief To Signature

What Four To Seven Weeks Actually Looks Like.

Most roles travel this arc. Senior and specialized data searches run longer — and we say which bucket you're in on day one, not day forty.

01

The Brief

Twenty minutes on the phone. The stack, the stage, the seat that's keeping standup short. No charge to open it.

02

The Read

We vanish into the repos for a week or so — sourcing quietly, reading code, screening the ones who narrate the trade-offs.

03

Five Names

A shortlist you finish in one sitting, each with code we vouch for and notes you can carry straight into the room.

04

Signed

You interview, we close, the offer is countersigned. The invoice lands that day — and the 90-day clock starts.

04 · The Fine Print, Spoken Plainly

You never wire us a deposit to find out whether we're any good. The risk of the search sits on our side of the table.

When exactly do you invoice?

The day your new engineer countersigns the offer — Net 30 from there.

Not at kickoff, not at shortlist, not at interview. Signature is the only trigger for a Completed Search.

How is the 20% calculated?

Twenty percent of the hire's first-year base salary, with an $18,500 floor.

So a $120k role is $24,000; a lean junior seat still clears the minimum. We quote the exact figure before you say go.

What does Pipeline Consulting lock me into?

A rolling month at $3,200, cancellable with 30 days' notice.

No annual contract, no setup fee. If a bench candidate turns into a hire, the standard 20% placement fee applies — your monthly spend comes off the top.

Do you take anything if no one is hired?

Nothing. A Completed Search with no signature costs you zero.

We'd rather send you nobody than send you the wrong one — and we built the terms to prove we mean it.
